Chase's haircut

On Monday it was a very hot day. I didn't like it. I put Savannah down for a nap and went back to the living room to watch cartoons with Chase. While I was sitting down I kept looking at all of Chase's hair and it made me feel even hotter. As you all know Chase hair is really thick. At that moment I decided to cut all of it. I don't know how to give cute haircuts, so I just cut it all one size. The clip that was on there all ready was a 1/8 in. I didn't know how short it was going to cut. When I first cut it I realized it was going to be very short. Here's a picture of his new hair cut. It's very short and he looks older then his age. Oh well. It will grow.

Lovely Girl

Yesterday, I was with my sister Violet. We went to the mall to see if by walking her labor would start but no baby yet. Before we went to the mall, Violet put a headband on Savannah and she looked really cute. I realized I hadn't bought her one yet so I picked her up a few at the mall. She looks really girly with them on. I took this picture of her with a chicken bone because we all looked at her during dinner and laughed and Dad said I needed a picture of this. I guess she doesn't look too girly with the chicken bone in her hands!
Savannah is starting to stand up on her own. I think she will be walking soon.

Yay a swing for Savy!

Marci gave mom a baby swing on Friday and for the last two days Chase has been begging for me to put it up outside for Savannah. Today, after dinner, I finally listened to Chase and put it up. It was the highlight of the week! It was so cool! It was also fun to see Chase push Savannah.
Savannah belly laughing--while she was being pushed by Chase. Here's a pic of her blowing kisses at Nickie.
I am excited because I won't have to carry Savannah while we're outside anymore. Now I can just put her in the swing and she will have a blast in it. Thanks Marci! Savannah, Chase, and I love it. And I'm sure all the future baby-grandkids will love it too--that means you Lelani.

Savannah's teeth

Savannah is now 10 months old. I can't believe in two more months she will be a year old! I wanted to take a pic of her teeth showing. Her four top teeth are officially out and I had to take about 50 pictures of her to show them--I got one good one. Lizeth helped me to get Savannah to laugh and to get those teeth to show. Savannah was only interested in crawling and playing, not taking pictures.

What a day!!!

Chase's day was busy from the beginning. He helped Andy and Greg mow the backyard. It is neat to know that Chase still enjoys mowing the lawn with Greg. Chase has helped Greg mow the lawn since he was very young.

Then Chase helped grandpa bring in bags from the Home Depo. He likes to keep moving.

We went to William Payne's son's birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. Chase liked playing the games.

So did Savannah.
We came back home and celebrated the birthdays of Greg and Grandpa.

Happy Birthday Greg

When Chase woke up, I said to him "It's dad's Birthday" and his morning started in a very exciting way. We had made Greg a card so I told him "Do you want to get dad's B-day card." He said yes, and once he gave Greg his card he said. "I want to make his B-day cake now." Chase made his cake and I helped. Before Greg went off to school we sang Happy birthday to him.

I was surprised Chase posed for me and he let me take his picture.

As you can see Chase likes putting a lot of sprinkles on the cake.

Happy Birthday Greg!!!

Our weekend

Yesterday I went to my cousin Nancy's Bridal shower. Nancy is finally getting married after a six year relationship and three year engagement. I enjoyed visiting with my aunts and sisters. It was funny seeing Nancy get embarrassed opening her gifts.
Chase is are little chef--like his daddy. He loves to help mammy bake bread or even help me out in the kitchen with baking or cooking. Well, this morning Chase helped mammy make her famous Cinnamon rolls. They were delicious, like always. My mom came over to visit with me and to watch general conference. It was fun having her here with me because we don't get to do it a lot.

With two active children I was only able to watch some of the morning session of general conference and I enjoyed hearing President Monson's closing remarks. Right now I can't even remember what he said, but I felt the spirit and I know he is a true Prophet of the Lord.
I was thinking about Grandma and Grandpa Peterson and I missed not being with them this conference. For the past three years we have been lucky to be with them for the April conference. This is the first time we were not with them for conference. I hope this October conference we will be able to be with them.
I was thinking of them because when we're there, Grandma feeds us a lot and today we did the same thing. We ate all day. It started with cinnamon rolls for breakfast, hot dogs for lunch; then gumbo for dinner. Greg made the gumbo. It was awesome.

A few good pics

Yesterday I had a fun visit with my sister Violet. I wanted to see her growing belly. For being eight months pregnant, it's really not that big. She's lucky, but maybe it will grow a little more in these last couple of weeks. I can't wait to see her little baby. I am very excited for her. The baby will bring her so much joy.

We went to the inland center mall to shop for a gift for my cousin's bridal shower this Saturday. I didn't find a gift for her but I did get two other gifts for another cousin's baby shower. I love to shop, but I really love to get good deals. Chase and Savannah came and were very patient while we were shopping.

Chase and Savannah played in the play area and had a blast. After shopping, I started cleaning because Greg's uncle Todd was coming to visit. It was nice visiting with him. We were able to see pictures of Greg's cousin Alisha's baby girl-- she is so cute. Here are some more pictures at the mall:Today we went to the library. Chase enjoyed planting a seed in front of the library. He liked it so much that he asked the librarian if he could plant another--she said yes:
I took this picture today and I liked it a lot. This is how she smiles all day, except for when she's crying, tired, and/or teething:) She is a good baby.
