I love my Vans!

Nothing too exciting is happening with us right now, so I'll take some time to advertise. Like I've said in another post, I love my Vans. They are the most comfortable things I've ever put on my feet. They rank right up there with flip-flops in comfort. I'm a sandal girl all the way, but you can't wear flip-flops during the winter. Greg gave me these shoes as a gift for Christmas. It may sound weird, but they were the best gift ever. Since then, they are the only shoes I wear--other than those I wear at the gym and church. They slip on, which means no shoelaces, they match just about everything in my wardrobe, and they breathe well, so I can wear them from morning to night. Everyone should do themself a favor and get a pair of these if you don't already have some. Okay, I better stop. This is a silly post.

My kids' favorite song...

Today, I took the kids to Meniffee to visit my sister, nephew, and niece. On our way there, I got stopped in bumper to bumper traffic. Good thing for the ipod! It kept the kids happy. I put on their favorite song, "We Will Rock You" by Queen. Savy loves it so much. She was yelling "We rock! We Rock!" That is her way of having me replay it. The kids get so into the music that they start clapping and singing along. While we were died stopped on the fwy, the camera was on the passenger seat so I took their pictures in their cars seats. (I just noticed that he took his seat belt off of his shoulder. That's kind of scary.) Savy was also content with eating her gummy bears. (oh no...Savy took her strap off too. This is scary.) Tomorrow Greg is going to sub a kindergarten class. He's nervous and doesn't know what he's going to do with a bunch of 5 year olds. Greg got an email from the Army and it's official. He will start the Jag training July 5th. He's waiting to hear back for the physical and he is more than ready for it. He has lost all the weight he needed to lose and is still losing more. He's crazy and he's on a crazy diet! Lots of protein, veggies, water, and practically no salt. He's also in the gym twice a day. Crazy!

Happy Birthday Chase!!

Well, Chase is 4 years old now. Yesterday, he had his Spiderman, Incredible Hulk birthday party. He had a really fun afternoon with his cousins. He loves them so much. Today was his birthday. I baked him a cake and Greg frosted it. I had Greg frost it because he can hook it up better than I can. His cream cheese frosting is soooooo good and he topped it with toffee he made me for Valentines day. I love english toffee--the homemade kind. Chase is a lucky boy to have two birthday cakes. We love him dearly. I want to thank all our family and friends for celebrating his birthday with us. He loves all his new toys and I love his new wardrobe. He's going to look stylish with his new clothes. Since the party Savy has been saying "happy berday" over and over again. It's really funny.

Going back...

WoW! I can't believe my first born son will be four this Sunday. Here's a trip down memory lane with Chase's other birthdays. For Chase's first birthday, he was not sure about his cupcake but he tried eating it (before bursting into tears). For his second, he had an Elmo party. He loved Elmo! On his third birthday, we spent the weekend in Anaheim and went to knot's berry farm. It was so fun and I couldn't believe how brave Chase and Christian were to get on rides--fast ones too.The next day we had his birthday cake. It's funny that from his 2nd to 3rd birthday he really turned into a macho-man, from loving Elmo to loving Guns, swordes, Star Wars, Power Rangers, bow-and-arrows, and every other weapon he can imagine.

Savannah the book worm!!

Savannah's favorite thing in the world right now is to read books. While I was folding clothes, I decided to get a couple of shots of her with some. She especially loves books with pictures of animals. In her world, every animal is either a dog or cow. Or, in Savy's language, either a mooooo or a wow-wow. I caught her in the act of saying "mooooo." She likes to carry her books all around the house, and does her best to get someone to listen to her. Here's her funny cheese smile! I can't believe how fast her hair is growing now.

Bridal shower all out!

Oh my goodness! We just had an awesome bridal shower for our future sister-in-law, Nikki. All of my wonderful sisters-in-law and my mother-in-law helped put this whole shower together. Everything was beautiful! Nikki loves the beach so we had a beach theme shower. Michelle got this yummy, beautiful cake. Lizeth made these way cute chocolate flip-flop and surf-board favors. Marci made this really cute keep sake and made this fruity drink. This is now my favorite fruit juice. Kristin played some fun games and had the best gifts for all the winners. I just wanted a candy bar. Man to bad I didn't win anything. We played a dress up game with toilet paper. My group didn't win but I thought ours was the best;) What happened Nikki? (j/k) Everything was perfect and thank goodness there was NO rain.
Here's my future sister-in-law, Nikki.

Savy's favorite word is pretty..

Greg stayed home this morning with the kidos while I was with my Mom. When I came back home, the first thing I saw was Savy's toe nails. They were all painted red. Greg said that Savy found my nail polish and insisted that he paint her nails. So daddy gave in. He said that at one point he had to dip her whole foot in nail polish remover and start over. Savy keeps pointing to her nails and saying pretty. It sounded like Greg had fun and I know Savy enjoyed it. They turned out very cute ... I mean pretty:

Our weekened!

Saturday was our first for a long time without any wild wind. We spent the day at the park. Sunday was our first time since getting married that we didn't watch the game on Super Bowl Sunday. We're not really NFL football fans, so Chase watched Narnia--we like basketball and college football.

Here are some pictures from the park. Here is Savy's serious face. She won't smile for the camera. If only I could sneak up on her. Chase loves climbing around more than ever.
