First time at a polo game

I love this picture of Chase and Greg. We where up at North Shore with Friends watching a polo game. Before the game statred we went up to look at the horses. Carl and Savvy were with us too:)

Fun Boat Ride

I wanted to add this group picture of my family when they came to visit us:) We had a super fun time together!

Here's Carl as Captain America. He's in a costume my dad gave him for his 2nd birthday. Carl loves it:) He can't say Captain America so he say's Hulk:) Carl is all boy. He is good at what boys do:) As a superhero, he's super cute:) Last year he was a little young to understand trick-or-treating. This year he loved it.  He was super excited to get each piece of candy. He would just follow brother and sister go door to door. I was surprised how much he walked without having to be carried.

 Savvy loved being Rapunzel. I'm glad I let her be a princess. I was trying hard to get her to not be one and be a unicorn. When i was taking the boys' pictures she came out with the pan and was acting out Rapunzel hitting Rider. I'm glad my camera did catch this pose. It's an instant classic:)

 Chase saw this costume once and new he wanted to be Hawk-Eye. He thinks the bow-and-arrow is really awesome.

 The kids had so much fun trick-or-treating with their friends, Tristan and Braden. It was a very fun night!

First blog in 3 months

Back to blogging:)  Savvy turned 5 on June 14, 2012. Her brothers, Chase and Carl, and I made a zoo trip. When Greg came home from work we had birthday cupcakes.

Carl turned two on June 23, 2012. For his birthday we celebrated at Pearl Habor in a cabana. It was a combined party with Savvy. My parents, sister, Yesenia, and her two kids, Kayla and Xavier, with close friends, partyed with a jumper, popcorn machine, and a cotton candy manchine and some food:) It was a wonderful party! I was happy they spent this speical day with us.

Summer begins, 2012

Chase is now out of school and on summer break. He's so happy he's done with first grade. Since schools been out he has lost his two front teeth. He was so brave when Greg helped wiggle them out. We've been doing a lot of beach trips. We have a great time. Carl loves it and now that he's a little older for the beach he loves to sit by the shore and PLAY!

Fun family hike

The kids were real good sports on a family 4-mile round trip hike. And Savvy did the entire hike in flip-flops. We started at the Pali lookout and ended at Likeke waterfall.

Carl loved collecting stick along the way.  He was very serious about picking up every stick that he saw along the trail.

 

Chase picked up sticks too, but they were a little bigger than the ones that Carl was picking up! In fact, I think in this picture he is picking up an entire fallen tree:) 

They loved using these leaves as fans!!

 Here is Chase after we finally made it to the falls.  We had the entire area to ourselves for a picnic.  It was something that I will never forget!

Family Visit

Dustin, Michelle, Christian, and Chloe visited us here on Oahu. Woohoo! It was a full, fun week. We got to visit nearly the whole island,  from beach trips to the PPC, and Pearl Harbor to the Dole plantation.

Dustin and Greg managed to track down the home of Dawg the Bounty Hunter.

I tried to keep up with all our outings while feeling sick with a cold. On Mother's Day Greg let me sleep for 3 straight hours while he cooked me dinner and took care of the kiddos. That felt really great.

On Monday we went on a boat ride to  a sand bar in Kanehoe Bay (that is where the filmed Karate Kid II). It's so beautiful there I just love it. Tuesday we went on a hike to Diamond head. Finished it thankful with all 5 kids:) And on Wednesday we said our goodbyes:(

Sailing away

Greg's new hobby sailing! My first trip..he's pretty good:) It was awesome and I didn't get motion sickness.

Our friends Kent and Marci. Greg and Kent took the sailing courses together. This day they took turns steering the boat.

Easter 2012

Easter was a great one. Greg had a 3 day weekend. We lived it up to the fullest. It was Carl's first Easter and he loved it. He also loves the water. Here are the kids looking at the rabbits at the zoo and enjoying the Easter festivities.

Greg's birthday was on April 10, 2012, and he turned 31! When he came  home from work we went out for pizza (his favorite) and had birthday cupcakes afterwards back at home. Greg and I finished celebrating his birthday on Friday night with a dinner at Dukes at Waikiki. It was fun. I love date nights!

We try to do them a few times a month. Greg continues to work hard, surf and is now licenced to sail. Were looking forward to sailing trips with him--a little nervous though:)

St Patty's Day 2012

Our 2012 St. Patrick's Day celebration. It was so much fun. Greg cooked our feast! Kids loved it! Greg had to eat his corn beef and cabbage with potatoes and rootbeer.  I added a little bit of Tapatio:)

Christmas/ New Year's

Woohoo I am on a computer again!! (finally).  Time to catch up from December 2011 to April 2012. December-Christmas was great fun. We kept the Peterson tradition alive on Christmas with pizza and root beer floats.

Mammy and Grandpa Peterson came out for a visit, and we did as much as we could in the short time that they were with us! We got to ring in the New Year with them! We celebrated with New York this year and got to bed early:).

SEVEN

Chase turned 7 on February 15, 2012.   He celebrated the evening with his friend, Cameron, at Chuck E Cheeses. The next day Greg got the day off and took Chase and Savvy ice skating. They loved it and are pretty good at it.  For Easter weekend I got to see them ice skate. I was surprised how well they were able to not fall! 

Chase loves to play on his Wii and 3DS.  He recently had to get a tooth pulled out. He didn't cry or scream. He was brave for his dentist appointment. He doesn't enjoy school or reading but he's great at math.

He loves the water! And Greg is now taking him out about once a week surfing and he is getting better, but he likes boogie boarding more than surfing right now:)
