Annual fair and starting our trip:

We went to the LA County Fair! We went with Leilani and Lizeth and had a really fun time. Wow.... time sure goes by fast. I remember going last year. It seems like yesterday. Here are my favorite pictures of the day: The kids and I made it safe and happy to VA ! Chase and Savy were super good on the plane ride. It was long. but flying is so much easier than a long drive. When we first saw Greg waiting for us at the airport, the kids and I didn't recognized him. I think the kids didn't recognize him because he was wearing his uniform and Greg is a lot thinner so his face has changed a little. It has been an amazing weekend.

The kids can't stop talking to Greg. They keep telling him "I missed you dad" "I love you dad." They have been so happy here with their dad. On our way up to Charlottesville, we drove by the Washington temple. I thought it was cool because you can see the temple from the freeway over all the tress:
I'm writing this blog way early. I can't adjust to the time change:) My sleep pattern is all weird. The kids have adjusted after waking them up super early one morning.

We're coming daddy!!

Greg has been away for 12 weeks now. The last time the kids have been with Greg was on July 3rd. So its time for them to see their dad. It's a blessing that we can go to see him for 2 weeks. This Friday, the 18th, we will be flying out to VA. It's going to be special because we will be there for his graduation. Mom, dad, and my mom will be there too. They will fly in on the 29th. After the graduation, Greg will have 4 free days. We will be exploring Washington DC. Then Greg will leave for Oklahoma on Oct 3rd. For the first month Greg was away the time went by slow. It felt like he was gone forever. But my visit up there in August made the time go faster.

Every night I talk to the kids about Greg. They tell me cute things about him, how they love him, and how much they miss him. One night Savy said she was going to tell dad "to come back home!" That was sweet. I felt the same, but I know once his training is over it will be all worth it. The kids are ready to see their dad and are super excited! I just pray the kids do well on the airplane. One of my fears is Savy crying her head off because she's scared during take off. Oh I hope they can make it on a 5-hour flight. Wish me luck!

Chase is growing up.....

Chase is into creating things and loves to make crafts. He's beginning to do really well with drawing and has been impressing me. One morning he wanted to be a mummy. Here he is with his gingerbread house. He worked on it everyday by adding things on to it:
I thought this was sweet. Last Tuesday, Chase on his own started to pack his suit case. He's ready to see his dad!

A FUN BABY SHOWER!!!!!

Susy had a lovely baby shower . The theme was King Of The Jungle! I can't wait to meet Jacob Jose. He will be born on October 16th. Two days before my birthday:) Yesi, my sister, made this cute cake. She is very talented with cake decorating:Aren't these the most adorable baby shower centerpieces(made out of diapers, towells, and other things Jacob will need):This one was my favorite:I was in charge of the games. This game was my favorite one that we played. You had to carry a baby and a cell phone and try to get as much clothes you could in 30 seconds and put it in a basket. It caused lots of laughs.

Labor Day

For Labor day weekend we didn't do anything too exciting. Since I was down all week, it was time to have a fun afternoon with the kids. Here's a brother and sister picture before we were off: So we went to Chuck E Cheese they had a good time playing and playing. Mammy came with us. It was great because Savy had her all to herself. The kids playing inside the tunnels: Later that night for FHE grandpa BBQ'd some yummy chicken. After that we watched a church cartoon video on David and Goliath.

The Salona family had smores with chocolate chip cookies at their ward beach party. We tried them out that night in the backyard. Chase liked them. Mom and I had some with Dove chocolates. They were veeery GOOOD!

what is wrong with me??

Last Friday morning, in a wierd situation, I broke my left toe. It happened when I walked to the kitchen to get Savy some milk. I hit my foot on a chair, and twelve hours later, mom and I learned that my toe was broken.

Monday I was feeling better and the swelling was going down so I decided to visit my sister Susy the next day. Tuesday morning came and right when I was going to leave, I sprianed my right ankle. I still went to Susy's and when I got there, my ankle was swollen as big as a baseball.

Today, I had a doctors appointment and I found out that I streached a ligament. Now it's banged up and my left broken toe is healing. Mom, Susy, and my Mom have been taking good care of me and have helped me a lot with the kids. I can't walk or stand for too long because my feet and legs still hurt and begin to swell up. I just pray I get back to normal before I go to VA in two weeks.
