Thanksgiving week...

We had a really good time with our families on Thanksgiving. Since Greg and I have been married, he cooks the turkey. This year, he BBQ'd a prime-rib and ham also. The meat was really good! He's the only person that I know that is brave enough to BBQ 3 different meats for Thanksgiving dinner. The best part though was the great company. For the first time, the entire family was together on Thanksgiving.

After dinner with the Peterson's, we went to my mom's house to have Thanksgiving with my family. Some of my cousins were there too. They were talking with me about how they remember when I was their babysitter. It was fun hanging out with them. Here are the girls that I used to babysit:

I am thankful for so much this year, especially my husband's goodness, my children's good health, and our parents' love and support.

The next Morning Chase woke up and said to Greg, "Dad, what's next?" We laughed and Greg said, "now we get ready for Christmas." He was sooooo excited. Now he keeps saying, "it's Christmas" and "we need a Christmas tree."

This month we have had 6 family birthdays to celebrate: 1 nephew, 2 nieces, 1 brother, 1 sister-in-law, and 1 sister. On Thanksgiving day we actually celebrated two birthdays.

On Saturday, we went to my niece's birthday. The last one of the month. Savy looked so cute at the party. My sister put a flower in her hair.To finish the week off right, Greg burned all of the flashcards he had to memorize for the Bar. There were literally thousands and it made quite the flame! Greg took the bar way back in July and we've had to wait until now to get his results. Thursday, Greg showed me this youtube video and it really scared me:

I couldn't stop thinking of that line in the video: "if you don't pass the exam, you're not an attorney." All of that schooling and studying and still you're not an attorney!?

Well at 6pm Greg went and checked his results. I couldn't go with him, too nervous. He came back in the kitchen and whispered in my ear that he passed. I was sooo excited. He's an attorney! He is going to be sworn in December 8th.

To celebrate we went to our favorite pizza place in San Bernardino, Alfredo's.

New haircut....

Whooo hoooo........I finally got a haircut! I'm excited about the way it turned out. This whole summer I just kept it up in a pony tail. So I badly needed a new look. It was getting so long for me that I didn't know what to do with it anymore. The stylist did it in 10 min. I was sooo shocked because it usually takes a whole hour for me to stye it. I can't wait to see how it will look straight. Here's the cut..

I'm a big girl now.......

My hair is long enough now to put in pigtails. My daddy did my hair today. Momma had to get my picture taken while I was playing outside. She was surprised I left them on almost all day. I have the best daddy. Love you!

Getting over the flu....

Chase is having a lot of fun spending time with my sister-in-law's boys. They just moved out here from the central coast of Califonia. Chase didn't get to see them a lot before. He always would ask for them.
For our first outing together, Kristin and I planned to take the kids to a new park out in Fontana. We postponed it because Kory and Chase got sick. I think it's a 24 hour bug because they felt better after 24-hours, with sleep and rest. We made it out yesterday and it is a really nice park. There were lots of fun play areas. Here are all the boys feeling well. There were different themes. One was "bugs life," another was "under the sea" with a play ship, two boats, a dolphin, and whale. Another area had hills with soft ground. There were also big blocks to climb. On our way home, Trey caught the bug. It was so sad to see him sick. It's going around with everyone in our family on both sides. Savannah hasn't gotten it yet. I am hoping she won't.

Cool weather equals cute kids....

Finally the weather here has cooled, feeling more like fall. I am loving it. Since nights are cold, I've been putting the kids in warm pajamas. One night after the kids took their bath, I thought they looked so cute that I had to get a few pictures:

A awesome holiday.....

Halloween began last Saturday for the kids, going with my sister to her ward Halloween party. Her ward was sooo big. There were at least 400 people there. It felt more like a stake activity. That night, Savy learned about the power of a pumpkin bucket. She learned that if she just held it out, she would get candy. The batteries for my camera died right when I wanted to take pictures of the kids. It makes me so sad to think that I didn't get a single picture of my nieces and nephews in their costumes. Chase the Pirate:Chase really looked forward to carving the pumpkins but when it came time to take the seeds out, he didn't seem to like the feeling at all. For the past 3 years, we have celebrated Halloween night with our ward on the Ellsworth's ranch. We kept with tradition this year and went. All of the Peterson side of our family was there. Chase had so much fun being with his cousins and playing fun games. Savannah cracked me up because if she wasn't looking for food she was looking for Candy. She won an award for her costume. After eating and playing games, the party ended with trunk-or-treating. The kids got tons of candy. I sure hope I don't eat too many of them.
