Poor Savannita....

A scary accident happened to Savannah this afternoon. Greg and I were getting ready to leave when we heard a loud scream. It was Savannah. Greg went to get her and brought her to the bathroom. I ran to find Chase. The first thing I saw were scissors on the floor. I knew Savy was cut. Greg wrapped her finger with gauze pads. After that he told me she lost her fingernail. I felt terrible! Greg talked with Chase to ask him what happened. He said he was cutting Savannah's dress (who knows why) and got her finger. Savannah pulled really hard and fast when the scissors pinched her finger. That caused the nail to come right off with the tip of her finger.

I took Savannah to emergency, and I'm glad I didn't faint. I don't do well with blood. I was very nervous. It was really hard for me to see Savy cry when the doctor and nurses took care of her. She will be okay. The doctor said it will heal in 4 weeks and Sunday we need to take her back. Poor little Savy. I hope she heals fast.

Chase and Dad made her a cake. It was Chase's idea. We sang "happy band-aid to you" and let her blow out candles. She did really good, so she's ready for her birthday.

Daddy reading to the kids before bedtime and Savy with her bandage:
One funny thing happend at the hospital. One of the nurses that helped us was a scary looking man with a bunch of tattoos. When he came in, Savannah started screaming "BAD GUY" over and over again. We love you Savy!!

Fire dept. tour..

Chase, Cory, and Savy visited the Redlands Fire Dept. They had a good time. A friend planned the tour for the children. The kids saw everything: fire trucks, the kitchen, living space, bedrooms, they saw a fireman put all his gear on. I asked the boys what was there favorite part of the tour and Cory said he liked looking out the window from the second floor of the building. Chase liked the fire pole. They both said it was "awesome." After the fire dept tour we went to hogi yogi got lunch. Then, we went to fourth park to have a picnic. Here was Cory and Chase putting on a fire jacket together:
I love how the boy's had their hands in their pockets while listening.Looking out from the window. That fire ladder was high.Savy being savvy!

A day at Corona del Mar

We hit the beach and had a really fun day! The weather was perfectl and I ran into a friend of mine there. Savy at first didn't like the waves but by the end, she loved them. This is the first time that I have gotten a sunburn on my legs. It is wierd for me to get a sunburn because I never got burned as a teenager. Now i know i need sunblock all over! Here are some pictures of the kids enjoying the beach, being cute:Greg and Chase found a crab!Savy found my sunglasses, put them on, and wore them for a while. It was funny because Greg and I didn't notice she was wearing them until she looked back at us while she was looking at the water. We got the camera ready without her noticing and snuck this picture: It was fun watching her run up toward us. She runs so fast!

Color splash!

The painting project is complete. I got the room ready to get painted, took the wall paper off, taped down the floor borders, and moved around the furniture. But I didn't have to paint because Greg finished by the time i got back home from my doctor appointment. I was in shock when I walked in the room and it was all done. I thought it was going to take 2 days. Thank you Greg and Chase for painting our bedroom. I really like how the color turned out. Here was Chase helping me tear the wall paper off: I like chase's face in this picture:Before:

Starting a painting project.

Greg and I have been planning a lot of things to do before he leaves--some fun and some not. Today we are going to the Home Depot to get paint. Were going to start a fun project. We want to paint our bedroom all one color, because our palm tree wall paper has been destroyed by innocent Savanita. I don't want to leave mom and dad a bedroom all destroyed, and I know when Greg leaves, I won't want to paint by myself. Greg and I really enjoy painting together. I've been a little stressful (nervous) knowing I only have about 6 weeks left with him. I better make the most of it!

Mother's Day Weekend...

Greg made me feel very special this Mother's day weekend. It was amazing! My Mother's day started Saturday morning. Our stake Relief Society had an awesome activity for the sisters in the stake. Three talented women preformed a very funny, spiritual, and emotional skit, with singing, dancing, and speaking. It was all about womanhood. They sure made me laugh, and even made me cry. We also had a good luncheon. Everything was awesome. Thanks mom (Barbara) for planing such a great activity.
After spending a fun time with friends at the activity, I went off for Mother's day shopping. I picked up gifts for my Mothers. I also got myself an outfit. Later that night Greg and I went to Casino Morango. Greg's friend gave us two tickets to a stand-up comedy show. The comedian was Bill Cosby. We had a very fun night. Here is my hubby in front of the Casino in Cabazon:

We got there at a good time so we had dinner in the casino at a really nice little restaurant. Bill Cosby was hilarious. Greg and I laughed our heads off for the whole two hours. I laughed so hard that I was snorting. It was pretty embarrassing. To finish our date, Greg took me out for dessert. It was soooo yummy!

On Mother's day after church we went to my mom's. My dad BBQ'd hamburgers for my sisters, my mom, and me. It was fun hanging out with my sister's Susy, Violet, Yesenia, Diane, and mom for this special day. Here's a picture of my mother: We then came back home and spent some wonderful time with Kristin, Monty, and the boys. Greg gave me his mother's day gift that night. He gave me a very sweet letter and a beautiful necklace. I loved it. He also gave me a candle and candle holder. I sure feel like an appreciated mother!

Location B:
We'll know in two-to-three weeks. In the mean time, we're preparing ourselves emotionally for weekend excursions to admire the exotic Death Valley Monkeyflower.

Disneyland '09

We had a perfect day at Disneyland. The weather was perfect, and company great! There weren't any crowds and the lines were short. It was fun hanging out with my sister-in-laws and their kids. We went with Greg's brothers, Dustin and Ryan, and their families. Chase and his cousin Christian were very brave! They went on the BIG rides for the first time. I was crazy to let Greg put Chase on Splash Mountain. That ride still terrifies me.
Chase and I also got on Thunder Mountain. He enjoyed all the rides. I'm so glad he didn't brake down into tears. I would have felt terrible. I was proud of him. Here are my favorite pictures of the day:

Savy playing the piano in Goofy's house. She loves playing the piano:

Savy with Leilani. They were racing all day (if they weren't holding hands):
Savy loved It's a small world. Chase and Daddy didn't:

My jockeys at the races. Savy really did not want to go on this ride, but she enjoyed it a lot:

My favorite jockey:

Greg and Lizeth take this game really serious. Him and Lizeth ended up in a tie. She won once, and he won the other.
Chase loves Buzz:

Savy dreaming about cavities after a long, fun day:

At the end of the day we had the whole park to ourselves, almost.

It was probably the last Disney trip that we'll make for a few years, and it was the best!

Popcorn balls and b-day bash

May has begun and my how fast it's going. Recently Mammy made popcorn balls with the kids. I'm glad mom had a craving for them because Chase has been asking me how to make popcorn balls for the last week. My answer has been "I don't know how but we'll learn some day." He and savy loved them. My niece turned one and my sister had a big Minnie Mouse party. We had a fun time. My niece loves Minnie Mouse!Savy was terrified with this Minnie and Mickey, but daddy protected her. She stayed far far far away from them.
Savy with a terrifed look on her face!
