another great birthday party...

I had another awesome b-day party, this time thrown by my mom and sisters. I turned 25. I know I'm not old at all but it's still scary to know I am in my late twenties. I had a good time and ate my mom's mexican food that I miss so much--it's the best mexican food in the world! I love the gifts! Thank you all so much. Exciting day......

I really had a perfect birthday and anniversary. Our plans for our 5th anniversary didn't work as we originally wanted but Greg planned an even better day for us. He decided to take me to the temple in the morning to remember our wedding day. Memories came flooding back as we were there and I was glad we made it there.

After, we headed on out to eat at in-n-out--best idea from Greg--instead of going to a restaurant for breakfast. We love the food their.

I then started getting dressed in my custome which took almost two hours. Once I was in full costume, i started making the guacamole that we were supposed to take to the party and I found out that the avocados that I had bought the day before were all bad. Greg was gone, so I had to go to the store, dressed like a geisha, to exchange avocados--okay, that was one of the most embarrassing moments of my life, but funny and memorable.

Then we went to a Halloween party that Kristina and Justin Miles threw. It was so much fun hanging out with friends. We shared a lot of laughs and jokes. They had two really fun games. One was a donut eating content between husbands and wives. Then we played the newly wed game--"How well you know your spouse?" Greg and I got all of our answers right except for two. One of the questions we got wrong was the exact date that we met. I wasn't sure if it was on the 20th or 15th of December of 2002. Greg got the year wrong!

Greg looked really funny dressed as a hick. Everyone at the party was dressed up in an awesome costume.

To end the night, Greg and I made S'mores--our anniversary tradition. They were delicious. This was not the day that we originally planned, it was much funner.

Halloween is coming.........

For the last couple of weeks, Chase and I have been getting ready for Halloween. Chase was very excited that pumpkins grew in mammy's little garden. Here is one of the pumpkins: Then we got their Halloween customs. Chase chose to be a pirate, Savannah Raggedy Anne.We were "phantomed" last Friday. It was fun. The door bell rang, I opened the door, and no one was there. I looked down and saw a big bag of snicker bars. On Monday night mom, dad, Greg and the kids went to "phantom" 2 other family's which was part of the rules. It's all secretive, so I am not going to tell who we visited.

Chase and Savannah have been carrying pumpkin buckets everywhere they go. It's so funny! They are so excited for halloween that they can't be away from them at all. I am also excited for Halloween, as I've already said. I am really excited for this weekend too come because Greg and I are going to a party and we have to dress up. Greg is going to dress up as a hick and I am going as a Geisha.

My early birthday celebration!

Yesterday, I had a early birthday celebration dinner that my in laws had for me. Greg and mom make a delicious meal. It was fun when the kids sat on my lap to help me blow out the candles. I couldn't believe I have two children now to help me do that. After Savannah's birthday, she learned how to blow out candles. She blew out one of my candles. It was funny! While Greg's brothers and our sisters in law were talking, Chase, Savannah, Emma, and Mia were playing outside with Mammy. Mom said Chase was telling them fun, scary stories. I had to laugh because mom said he was very detailed and expressive. He gets that from Greg telling him detailed stories at night. He really enjoys hearing stories at bed time. When Chase was going to go outside, I asked him if he knew where his shoes were. He said, "I think I don't know." It sounded really funny. I am really enjoying Chase communicating with us better. He can tell me his whole day now.

I was tagged by Jill but I am not sure if it was for me or for another Veronica whose on her blog. Well, I went a head and I did it. I looked at my forth file in my picture documents and picked the fourth picture. It was fun to look into this file because it was a big family reunion with my dad's brothers and sisters. He comes from a family of 12 children. Uncles come from Texas and Sacramento were there. It was my grandma's first time meeting Savannah. She was a new born at the time. Yeah, it was crazy for me to take her out so young. She had to be 1 month old. It was exciting to see this picture and think of my grandma.

Conference and Cinnamon rolls....

After Chase finished eating his breakfast this morning, he helped mammey make cinnamon rolls. They made big ones and small ones for Chase too. They tasted very good as always. It is crazy to think how fast October has come around after looking at the April conference pictures on my blog. Chase started that April morning the same way, making cinnamon rolls. General conference was great! I was able to watch it on both Saturday and Sunday. I thought it was nice to hear primary children sing yesterday. This afternoon, for the second session, we went to my mom's house to watch it with her, my sister, and my sister's husband. The kids had fun playing with their cousins. They played a lot, not stopping to rest the entire time we were there--they played for hours. After conference, my mom, sister, and sister-in-law talked while watching the kids play. I am so blessed with a wonderful family. I love you all dearly.

October: my favorite month!

Today, is the first day of what will be a great month. I am excited for it to begin. Here are a few of the things I'm looking forward to:

1. General Conference (okay, and mom's Cinnamon rolls)

2. My wedding anniversary

3. My birthday

4. Greg has a big interview for a job to hold us over until he joins JAG (Please everyone pray for him)

5. Halloween

6. One month closer to November (Greg will become an official esquire--again please pray for him!)

7. Cooler weather (Lets cross our fingers. It's in the high 90s right now)

8. And beautiful fall colors (I love Fall in California!)

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays because I love seeing kids in cute costumes, going trick-or-treating with the kids, eating candy corn and carmel apples, going to grown-up costume parties, carving pumkins, not watching scary movies, and seeing big smiles on kids' faces. There are also some things that I don't like: sweet, innocent children dressed up like demons, devils, and vampires. I mean come on, we don't have to be satanic.
