She's spoonless.....

Savy is a survivor. If mommy isn't fast enough for her, she finds her way to the refrigerator and gets her own food. The only problem is that she doesn't quite know how to feed herself just yet. The results are pretty funny. Here's just one example, Savy with yogurt:

Susy's big day!

My sister, Susy, was sealed to her family at the San Diego temple yesterday, March 28th. Here is the Navarette Family: It was a sudden decision. They were going to do it in a couple of months, but their bishop counseled them to do it before her husband's 2 month training. So, Tuesday Susy made the appointment and Wednesday my sisters, mom, and I went with her to find a dress for her to wear. After dress shopping at 4 stores, she found the one at a local store here in Fontana. She looked very beautiful:We also found my niece's dress. We started shopping at noon and didn't finish until 9pm. It was a long day, but I really had a fun time hanging out with my sisters, mom, and sister-in-law.

It was an amazing experience, sharing my sister's special day at the temple.

Meet my cute little niece and nephew: Alyssa and Micheal. They looked like little angles in the sealing room. Everyone in the temple loved them. I love these pics. He looked so handsome!
Here's my whole family who made it to San Diego. After the temple, we went to Susy's house and had a dinner. Friends were there from their ward to celebrate the occasion. We had some really GREAT food. Congratulations on your eternal family Sis. I love you!

Girls' night out. Party!

Michelle sure knows how to throw a party, and she was serious about having Edward at the party.
We had a really good time and it was exciting to hang out with Susan. We haven't spent time together in a while. I'm also excited that she is expecting her fourth baby. It's gonna be a boy! Darci joined in the fun, and it was great having our picture shot together, with Edward. It was a really fun night with all the girls that were at the party. As you can tell, I am a big Twilight FAN!

Twilight on DVD

As you can tell, my hubby isn't fond of chick flicks, especially vampire ones. I do understand what he means about having a guy sneaking around in your room, but he doesn't understand the story. So I'm going to stop trying to explain it to him. I think the Nyquel was talking! That stuff gets him a little, well, I'll just say "not all there."

Anyways, Lizeth and I lined up with the hundreds of other Twilight fans last night, waiting to get our movie at midnight. There were people of all ages. In line, we were around girls with their dads and I thought it was so cute. Lizeth and I had a good time together and we made it home safe. Tonight, the party continues at Michelle's house. We're having a Twilight girls' night out. I'll post some of those pictures later.

We've entered the twilight zone.....

As I sit here, trying to fight off this Nyquil-induced exhaustion, anxiously awaiting the safe return of my better half from a late night Twilight event, I can’t help but wonder: what is it about Twilight?
It seems to be taking over everything, from classrooms at school to my family blog. What’s the big deal with this pasty white, bushy eyed, meat-eating-vegetarian-vampire that breaks into an underage girl’s bedroom at night to watch her sleep?
A year ago, this type of creep would have been on America’s Most Wanted, making it tough for the rest of us to sleep at night. Now, saying anything unfriendly about him (Edward) borders on sacrilege. What gives?!
If anyone could set me straight, I’d appreciate it. I could be mistaken. Maybe you need to read the books to appreciate it. Maybe there’s something terribly romantic about breaking and entering, stalking, trespassing, and senior citizens dating teenagers. Or maybe it’s just the NyQuil talking. At any rate, I hope this madness ends--yesterday.

Girls...Girls...

Okay, I'm so excited about Twilight coming out on DVD this Saturday. This Morning Lizeth and I went to Hot Topics at Ontario to reserve our movie. You can call us crazy, but were going to the Twilight release party. If there is anyone who wants to join us, let us know. We can bring two other guests. I think there will be a crazy crowd, but its going to be fun. And I'm going to do this crazy adventure with my Sister-in-Law.

What a weekend..

Well, we had a very busy weekend. Saturday was Andy and Nikki's open house and everyone helped put it together. Here is the beautiful bride and I.Greg did some serious baking and I helped him too. We had fun doing it. I think he didn't like staying up late from baking cream puffs--Greg likes going to bed early. My mom, Nicole, Lizeth, and I decorated the hall--and the guys set up all the tables and chairs. Thanks mom for helping us. Thanks to everyone who helped put it together. On the same day, there were 3 other birthday parties going on. I made it to my nephew's party and stopped by to my friend Cythia's party. It was good to see her and glad we made it for a while. We had to get to my nephew's party because my kiddos were there. My awesome Mom babysat for us the entire day. On Sunday, we celebrated my older sister's b-day. We had great food and a good time together. I was trying to get a picture of all my nieces and nephews togther from my side of the family. It kind of turned out--in all the other pictures they are making even funnier faces. Savy has been trying to feed herself lately. She can't quite figure out the spoon yet, so she usually gets tired and just starts eating with her mouth. It is really funny to watch. Yesterday, we celebrated Tyler's 8th b-day and Michelle's b-day, and had family home evening. That makes 6 birthday parties and a wedding open house all within three days. It's great fun to get together with the fam.

My favorite picture of the day...

I've looked over all of our pictures from the wedding and, excluding the lovely shots of the Mrs., here's my favorite: For a boy that disdains the very thought of having his picture taken, this twin-pistol-pose is a true gem.

Andy and Nikki's wedding...

Andy and Nikki's Wedding was beautiful--everything! I didn't get many pictures because the batteries died to my camera. Between the wedding and reception we went to In-N -Out with Ryan and Lizeth. I pigged out! When it was time to put my dress back on it didn't want to zip up. Man, I love those hamburgers! Chase was in the wedding party too. He walked the rings down the aisle for the ring ceremony. He looked so grown up. He also did a great job standing up at the alter with the rest of the groomsmen. My hubby and I at the Redlands temple.Savy with her daddy--who she was with the whole time.
Ryan, Lielani, Jessie, and I. We had a fun (although too short) visit with Greg's cousin Jessie and uncle Todd. They came all the way from Texas and really made the celebration an even bigger deal. Jessie is soooo nice! And Todd is hilarious.

Greg's grandparent's also came from Monterey as did his uncle Ted. Carole looked so beautiful at the reception that Greg kept saying that she was glowing.

Andy and Nikki's special week...

This week is going to be pretty busy with all the events leading up to Andy and Nikki's wedding this weekend. I am excited for their day to finally be here--for their sake. It was a year and a half engagement. Tonight we will be at the temple and Friday night at Castaway for dinner with all the families, honoring Nikki and Andy. Then their big day on Saturday. I am in the wedding party so I need to look nice. I'm going to try to get my makeup done at 10am and be at the wedding by 10:45. I hope I get there on time. Pray for me. I'm nervous because 10am is the earliest I can get my makeup done.

Well, yesterday my mom and I worked on centerpieces for Andy and Nikki's open house that will be held next weekend. I really liked how they turned out. We didn't get to finish but will get them done next week. It was fun putting them together but very stressful finding what I wanted to use. I got the idea from, my cousin-in-law, Caitlin's wedding reception. Here they are: Something cute, little, and pretty!
