Chase and Savannah as playmates

This week Chase and Savannah actually began playing together, and they played inside and outside. It all began one morning when I wanted to get Chase to do something other than watch TV. I brought out his blocks and he started playing with them. Then, to my surprise, Savannah started playing with them also. It was an even bigger surprise when Chase started playing with Savannah!!! Yes! They are finally starting to play together.

On Thursday we took Lizeth to work and I decided to take the kids to the park nearby to play. Chase and Savannah picked up where they left off. They went down the slide together and Savannah clapped when Chase would do cool stuff. They went on the swings together too. Savannah also learned how to drink out of a straw during our picnic.

They also played together outside of our house while Chase would water the grass. Chase found another good playmate in the mud, it was the mud.
Tonight, Chase crawled on the floor with Savannah and she would actually chase Chase around the room. Me and Greg loved watching them. I am so proud of Chase for being a good brother and I am proud of Savannah for putting up with Chase. He's a little rough.
We ate some great food this weekend. Greg cooked BBQ pork ribs---they were sooo good and today he cooked steak that was awesome too.

Easter day

Easter is going to be a memorable moment because Chase really believed in the Easter Bunny and Greg and I were very busy. It was also cool when Chase woke up and the first thing he said to me was "mommy did the Easter bunny come". Chase had a blast. I put a pig tail in Savannah's hair for the first time-- it looked really cute. Here are my favorite pictures of Easter.

Easter spirit!!!

Getting ready for Easter has been very fun for Chase. It started on Thursday. We went to the library. Alice from Alice in Wonderland was there for reading time. She had the children play, sing, and dance. Chase was really shy. It was strange to see him so shy because he's never shy at home. He also played on the computer--he enjoys that a lot. Easter fun continued at our ward Easter breakfast. They had the Easter Bunny and an Easter egg hunt. We came home and started to paint eggs- Greg and I helped him.

Camping in the snow

March has been great. For Greg's Spring break, he took Chase camping. Ryan also went with them. They had a blast--but it was really cold! Chase loved camping and enjoyed playing in the snow. I was afraid he would have a problem with sleeping and during this time we were potty training him so I worried he would have had a lot of accidents. He slept well and only had four accidents! He's now officially potty-trained, but I still don't think Greg will take him camping for a long time.
