10th Anniversary

Greg and I try to take a trip every year for our anniversary just for the two of us.  Planning our trip throughout the year is so exciting and doing it is always FUN. I can't believe 10 years have gone by already. A cruise to the Bahamas was awaiting Greg and I, with lots of  sun . We sure did get sun. We still miss Hawaii. So we were excited to get back into the water. This was our first time doing a cruise. It is a real different experience. We managed not to get toooo seasick.
It was beautiful looking out to the sea and at sunsets. Greg and I really enjoy looking at that:)
If we weren't eating(way to much) we were playing miniature golf or ping pong.
On  formal night, I did get someone to take a picture of Greg and I but the picture turned out blury:/

Our boat behind me.
At Nassau we snorkeled, shopped and swam. We saw some beautiful fish.
In Freeport we took a tour ride of the island. The tour guide was really funny. We had good laughs. Oh, and I got my hair braided. Never again braids are too tight for my head:)
The trip was wonderful but next time we will spend more time on the island than the boat;)

2013

2013 was a wonderful year! And I'm soo excited to see what 2014 will bring!

Chase turned 8 which means that he is now in the third Grade. Mrs Kottler is his teacher, and she is awesome. He loves her and actually is starting to enjoy school. His best friend is Michael. It's pretty cool because they're neighbors so they spend a lot of time hanging out playing with Nerf guns, riding bikes, and playing outside. But their favorite thing to do is play video games (Mindcraft). They can play it for hours but they both know that homework and reading is first;) They also go to cub scouts together. Chase really enjoys it.  Greg and I think it's pretty cool that Chase is the 4th generation Peterson to do Scouts.  Chase's dad, grandfather, and great grandfather were all Eagle Scouts.  I think that there is going to be some pressure on him!

Savannah turned 6 and is in the 1st grade. Her teacher, Miss Clark, is a young, energetic teacher. She enjoys Savvy in her class. She shares with me all kinds of funny Savannah stories. Savvy is always saying things that surprise me. She is too smart and clever. Her best friend is Emily, Michael's sister. These girls have so much fun together. On Halloween they went trick or treating together alone! They are always together:)

Carl turned 3. And oh brother he is a handful, but he makes all of us laugh so much. He loves going to preschool. He goes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. He started going in August. He loves to play with his friend JJ outside.

Greg this year was busy working on a LONG case. On Dec 17 it was over. He jumped 7 times this year. All safe!! We celebrated our 10th anniversary on a cruise. It was a 5 day adventure to the Bahamas. I'm still a full-time mom which is so rewarding and keeps me busy! In my spare time (not much of that) I try to exercise and I started a fun new hobby. In October I took a two-day  beginner sewing class from 8:30am to 2:30pm.  It was a lot of fun.

We took some fun trips to Virginia. Living close to Suzy has been so wonderful. It was a blessing being able to be together for the holidays and birthdays. Here's a pictures of the cousins together on the 4th of July, slip and sliding.
On Thanksgiving Day:
This Christmas I sewed matching pajamas for us. The kids loved them. This will be a new tradition I try to do every Christmas. We wore them on Christmas Eve and all day on Christmas:) Stayed comfortable all day.

Color Run

The Peterson family time in Hawaii came to an end. We moved out of the house November 30th.
One thing I wanted to do on the island before leaving was a half marathon. That wasn't going to happen so I saw online a run called the Color Run.  It looked like a lot of fun so I thought if the half marathon wasn't going to happen, then I would do this 5k Color Run. It sure was fun. I ran with some moms from Stroller Strides and two of my instructors.  I've posted some pictures of after I finished the run. Everyone was in the middle of the field and threw up their color powder.

This was a fun race for a good cause.  They contribute most of the profits from the run to local schools.
The mamas waiting to get started.I was a bloody mess.
I haven't written in forever. If I were an awesome writer and fast typer, I would blog more. We have moved to North Carolina. We live 15 minutes away from Greg's base, Fort Bragg. We're living in military housing. It's perfect because the school, park, and pool are all within walking distance. The kids love their new school and get to play outside with the neighborhood kids. If Savvy isn't at school, she is outside. She can seriously spend all day outside with her friends.

Carl in now out of diapers and goes to the toilet about 20 times everyday. Chase learned how to ride a bike. He loves it.

When we first arrived, it was winter and very cold for our Hawaiian selves. That was hard for me to get used to. I couldn't adjust to being cold all the time. Winter seemed to last forever to me. Summer is right around the corner and the kids will be out of school this week. Let's see what summer brings:)

When Spring began we made a trip to Washington DC. Wonderful trip! Susy lives 45 minutes away from DC.  We were sure to stop over to visit with her and her family on the way. That was our third trip to Susy's. I love that we live close to Susy.  We also got to visit with Greg's childhood friend Mark and his family who live there.

Chase 8th Birthday

Chase on his 8th Birthday! We did a trip up to Virginia and celebrated with some of his cousins.

Tia Susy got him a cool Star Wars Cake. He loved it and loved playing with his cousins:)
