We were all kids again for a night!

Michelle and Dustin know how to throw a 3rd birthday party for their cute boy Christian. Everyone had a blast! I am glad we all survived the jumping play land. We only had a few burns and, thank goodness, no broken bones. The best part of the night was seeing little Christian sooooooo HAPPY. I won't forget his big smile when everyone was singing Happy Birthday to him. Here are some funny pics we got from coming down a big slip that i was sooooooooooo afraid of. I don't know why but I was. I thought all the little kids who went on that thing were very brave.

Reading program and beach

Chase's reading program is now over. On Tuesday, the Librarian gave out prizes to all the kids that participated. She also did a drawing to give out bigger prizes. Towards the end, she pulled Chase's name. When his named was called out he was so excited that he jumped up high and said "whoopee" really loud. It was funny to watch. I was so afraid his name wasn't going to be picked. He got a t-shirt that he really wanted. He likes it because its green like Yoda. Here's a picture of Chase with one of his favorite stories. Its was about a witch. A friendly one. Saturday, we went to Huntington beach. Chase liked being buried by Dad. He kept asking to be buried again. And then he liked to break out of the sand like the Incredible Hulk. Both Chase and Savannah liked lying in the sand. Also, Chase liked dragging his head in the sand. I don't know what he was thinking.
Maybe she wanted to get buried too.

Chase loves Star wars

Greg told Chase that we would try to watch Star Wars the clone wars this weekend but we never had a change, so today we did it. Chase was really excited to see it. I don't understand why he is so fascinated with Star wars and life sabers, but he certainly is. Just the way he was with pinatas when he was younger. We walked around Ontario mills after and saw the animals at the rain forest cafe. Today, I realized Chase's little gold fish is still alive. I can't believe it, because pets I have owned always die. Good thing I haven't had many! I am very happy its still a live.

Our weekend

On Friday, we went back to La Jolla. This time we went snorkling and Mammy came with us. I was amazed. There were so many nice fish to look at. There were a lot of big orange ones. There was also a seal swimming near by and I made sure to stay away from it. I would had been really afraid to see it close up, especially under water! Savannah enjoyed the beach more than last week. She is feeling a lot better and is herself again.
Today, I was released from Primary after serving for 7 years. I am excited to go to Sunday school with Greg and go to relief society. I am also curious to know what will be my next calling. Before church, I tried to get a family picture but it didn't work out. Chase did not want anything to do with pictures taken with us today.
We had a fun visit with my mom today at her new house. It was fun beause the kids and I played with my brother's son. We don't get to see him a lot and today I got to bond with him. I also got some pictures taken over there with the kids and I. I wanted to get some done because I feel like every Sunday the kids look like they have grown some more. Here it is:Chase did want to get his picture taken here. He's smiling. This is special. This is his cheese smile!

Day in the water and sun

Today, we went to Glen Helen water park. It was a cool place. Greg and I couldn't believe that we had never been there before since it's so close to our house. There is a lot of fun stuff to do with the kids. They had water slides, a giant water play area, a big pool, and waterfalls. It was a good cool down.
Chase liked it, but the water was a little too cold for him at times. I liked it, but I want to go back when Savannah is feeling a little better. She is not feeling too well right now and we're hoping she'll get better soon. When we got back in the car to come home, it was so hot that we all were ready to go back to the water--that made Chase rethink all that too cold stuff.

Special day!

My sister Susy decided to start going back to church after 7 years--when her and her husband were first married. I am really excited Susy and her family are meeting new friends from there new ward. She really loves that there are big families in the ward. Last Sunday she had her son's blessing done. He's not a baby anymore but he now has his name on the records of the church. It was a beautiful blessing given by a good Friend of theirs. It was interesting going to a ward with a lot of children. It is the only church I've been to where sacrament meeting was very loud with kids crying and just making all kinds of noises. I am also excited that Susy and her husband are expecting there third child on the way. We had a good time after church with my family and we ate a lot of food prepared by my parents, Susy, and her hubby. I love BBQ food. I especially love my hubby's BBQ. Talking about BBQ, Greg needs to BBQ something tomorrow. I haven't had his BBQ in a while and I miss it.

WHAT A WEEK!!!!

It has been a week since Greg finished taking the bar and we have been busy. We are having a lot of fun with him around us and feel like a family again. On Monday, we went to Lytle Creek. It was nice seeing a lot of green and seeing Chase have a good time. Greg and I noticed when we sat down how much litter there was from people not throwing away their trash. The next day, in the morning, on the front page of the Sun newspaper we read of a story about the litter at the creek and how they are going to clean it all up. I am glad, because it is a beautiful place to visit. Tuesday afternoon my mom and the kids went to downtown Rialto for a family day activity that Rialto put on for kids. It was cool. Chase came back home with a little gold fish and other fun things. On Wednesday, Greg and I cleaned, primed, and painted my mom's kitchen cabinets. Man was that a job! But we are glad my mom's kitchen is finished and we were able to help her out. It was nice of her to take us out to dinner for pizza the next day. On Friday, we went to San Diego with Greg. He took the last test that he had to take before he's done:) He took the test in the city of La Jolla. It was an awesome day. It was close to the temple so while Greg took the test, the kids and I went there and after we went to a mall down the street. It was really a neat place. We picked Greg up and headed to the beach in La Jolla. The water was beautiful and Chase had a good time with daddy. Chase is so funny. For the last week he has been singing a lot. He sings I am A child of God, Itsy-bity spider, Twinkle twinkle little Star, and Jesus wants me for a sun beam. While we were walking around the beach he was singing twinkle little star and Greg and i were laughing because i am sure people could hear him sing his little heart out. I am feeling really sad for Savannah. She is the only one who i think is not having a good time. On Thursday, she hit a corner of a coffee table and cut her tongue in the middle and her lip. She has had a fever for the last 3 days. I think having sore gums from her mollers and a sore tongue is making her have the fever. She's been a good sport while being out-and-about. She also doesn't want to nurse any more. I am a little sad about that but glad at the same time.

My two year old...at least it feels like she's two!

On Monday, Michelle gave me a CD of Savannahs photo-shoot. The pictures are awesome. Michelle is a really good photographer and she is amazing at capturing kids' personalities. When Greg and I were looking through them, we couldn't believe how good they turned out. I also couldn't help but think how big Savannah is getting. I feel like she is two year old already. She does a lot of things a 2 year old would do from what i can remember with Chase. She is starting to run and cry when she doesn't get her way. She gets mad at Chase if he has a toy that she wants. She is starting to say Hi, bye, cheese, and bear. She also says momma and dadda a lot. She likes to climb and walk off without me when we are out-and-about. She gets into the toilet and the trashcan and we often find things in there that she throws out. Does that sound like a 2-year old to anyone else? Maybe I'm just saying this because she didn't let us sleep at all last night (her molars are coming in). Here are my favorite picture of Savannahs first year old photo shoot:
