Popcorn balls and b-day bash

May has begun and my how fast it's going. Recently Mammy made popcorn balls with the kids. I'm glad mom had a craving for them because Chase has been asking me how to make popcorn balls for the last week. My answer has been "I don't know how but we'll learn some day." He and savy loved them. My niece turned one and my sister had a big Minnie Mouse party. We had a fun time. My niece loves Minnie Mouse!Savy was terrified with this Minnie and Mickey, but daddy protected her. She stayed far far far away from them.

Your top 5..

A very special holiday is coming. All gal's who read this, post your Mother's day wish list. This will give our hubbies' an idea of what we would like for Mother's day.

Don't worry guys. You don't have to actually do everything or anything on the list. But it should give you lots of good ideas. Remember, Mother's day is a day when we celebrate all women--not just those with kids. So all husbands (that means you Andy) are on the hook here.
Also, it will remind you that Mother's day is May 10th. Mark your calendars!

1. Glen Ivy has been a place Greg and I have wanted to do since last year, but haven't done it yet. I would love to go there. Michelle has said awesome stuff about it.2. All girls need a nice necklace. And now that I don't have a baby that will pull it off my neck, I'm ready for one. (This one is only $10).3. Jeans I sure need a new pair.

4. Flowers--melt my heart!

5. I neeeeeeeeed a pedicure.

Girls try to post your top 5. This was fun to do. And I think all guys will beneift from this.

Lots of movies and popcorn!

I'm in a movie madness. No joke, I've watch sooooo many movies over the past week. Thursday I checked out Bedtime Stories, Hollywood chihuahua, and The Tale of Despereaux. I liked them all, and they each made me laugh. I've watched other movies on ABC family and the Disney channel. Too many to list. While watching the movies my kids LOVE to eat popcorn. Chase would always ask for popcorn when he was 1. Now Savy does, everyday. Don't even sing popcorn popping on the apricot tree or she'll ask for some.

Fun night with mammy.

Greg and I have been able to attend the temple a lot more than ever before. Last night we went to the 6pm session and loved it. Usually we go at 7:15pm. By that time I feel really tired and don't function very well. 6 pm is now my favorite time to go. I didn't even fall to sleep! It's been nice to go to the temple because it reminds me of our marriage and of the fact that we will be together for all eternity. We have had a lot of good times (and some bad times) throughout our marriage, but all in all, our marriage is now stronger than it has ever been. I've learned that it's my decision to either be upset or happy--no one else can control that. I've decided I want to be happy always, even during bad times.
Greg's mom went to the temple last night too, and after our session, we went to In-N-Out. Greg and his mom couldn't decide where to go. They asked me and I told them that I was craving grilled onions. The food was great, like always.
It was a perfect night to eat outside. We had fun talking with mom. I hope Greg and I can make it out to the temple a lot before he leaves to Virgina. It's coming so soon. When we got home he got a email letting him know his paper work (file) was all complete. So that means soon he'll get a phone call to let him know where he will be stationed when he completes his 6 month training. We can't wait to find out where we will be living. He's hoping for Puerto Rico or Hawaii as a dream location. I'd love Monterey. We'll find out very soon!

Is it already Summer?

Chase and Savy had their first water activity of the year at Andy and Nikki's nephew's Birthday party. There was a really fun water slide. The kids looked like they where having a blast. Here is Greg and Chase going down together.Savy didn't dare to try but she liked dipping her feet in the pool. She has a little pizza on her face in this picture: Later that day we went to my cousin's Sweet 16 party. She asked Greg and I to be her padrinos (godparents). This is our first time doing anything like that. We had to do the toast. They didn't give us any warning so we weren't prepared at all. It was nerve raking for us. We had a fun night though. Usually at dances I always see the girls dancing and the boys watching, but for the first time ever, a big group of teenage boys were dancing. They danced better than the girls! Greg and I thought it was pretty funny that the girls were watching the boys dance. I also thought good for them for not being shy.

Greg's birthday, a baptism, plus Easter!

Our family went to California Adventure for Greg's 28th birthday. We loved it. The kids had a lot of fun playing at the Brother Bear play area. Chase saw a picture of an ice cream cone and decided that he had to have one. He was in heaven. Chase's favorite ride was Toy Story mania. When we were waiting in line Chase said to Greg "Do you want to know something Dad. I love you." I thought it was sweet because he said it on his own. We're going back on the 28th to Disneyland. I can't wait to take the kids again. Next time were taking a stroller though. I'm not kidding Greg and I carried the kids the whole day! The next day I was soooooooooo sore.Chase's idea to lay down on his letter, C. Greg and Chase on the Caterpillar ride.
I have too many pictures of the kids from this day to post. I'll put some more on Facebook. We found Wall-E!We had a fun picnic and egg hunt at the park with the Peterson gang the next day. Savy's First Easter egg hunt. She tried really hard to find them.Savy hitting the pinata that Chase and I made.

That night we went to Tyler's baptism. It was so sweet. I started crying when Monty was baptizing Tyler, just thinking about the great example he was setting for Chase. I can't waite until Greg can baptize Chase. Only 4 years to go.

Easter Sunday we were with my family after church. Here's Chase in the morning finding his easter basket that the Easter bunny was nice enough to leave. Savy wasn't quite awake yet. My sister got a bunny and I'm so jealous. I've had the urge to get one for the last 2 weeks. I grew up with rabbits as a kid so I love them.
Chase did good with it. I'm going to try to get Greg to let me get one. Greg doesn't like pets at all.

Mammy's little helpers!!

Wow, this was a fast weekend! It was full of inspiration. It's a blessing to hear from the prophet and all the general leaders of the church. I really enjoyed not having a hard time with the kids. They did let me listen. Mammy, early morning Sunday, started baking our traditional cinnamon rolls. And when Chase woke up, he helped mammy finish them up. Well, Mammy actually has two helpers now. Here was Savy, trying to get Chase to let her help:Savy helping mammy whip up the topping of Greg's birthday request, lemon meringue pie. Savy has become a little helper. She tries to get her chance to help whenever she can. Saturday, the kids and I went to my mom's house while Greg went to presthood meeting. I visited my sisters and mom. The kids had a good time with there cousins. My sister and I watch The count of Monte Cristo. Man, I really liked that movie. It's really good.
