Our last two weeks!

Greg started taking the bar this Tuesday and today was the final day. We are so happy it is over now. I'm sure that he did really well because he studied really hard. Greg is sweet. He shared his Sneakers Candy bar he wanted to eat after he was done taking the bar. He shared it with Chase, Savannah, and me when he got home.(The Sneaker bar Kristin and Monty gave him from graduation) The last two weeks while Greg studied even harder, the kids and I stayed busy swimming, playing with friends, going to the movies, and to the post office a lot.
Last week, aunt Marci helped me learn to use haft.com. I have sold 8 law school books already. I think the people at the post office know us by now. We've been going to the library a lot too. We have changed library because it is closer to our house. We are now going to the Rialto Library. Today, we went there for reading time and it was a lot of fun. The Librarian played her guitar while the kids sang along.
Chase's new thing right now is doing canon-balls into the water at the pool. He is really good at making big splashes. I am really excited Greg can go swimming with him now and see his canon balls. Chase is also excited to go swimming with his Dad.

Celebrating Pioneer day!

The float and Banner:
The last two weeks our primary has been preparing for our stake pioneer parade. Our primary presidency really wanted to teach the children about pioneers. I had the chance to speak to them about the pioneers. It didn't turn out the way I wanted it to, but I learned a lot. I am grateful for what the pioneers did and my testimony has grown, learning about the sacrifices of the pioneers. I just can't believe how much faith they had in the Lord to just leave their homes!
All of our primary children and parents were part of our float and banner. I am so grateful for all the parents help in making it possible for the primary children to be in the parade. All the children looked cute dressed up. Even parents and teachers were dressed up. It was awesome.Chase loved dressing up and being in the parade. We made four laps around the church. On the final lap, he wanted to see the parade instead of being in it. It was crazy because he really wanted to see the parade and he started to cry. I dressed up the kids and myself as pioneers. It was fun. This is a new family in our ward. Brother and sister Hutch. On friday, the whole family came to help finish the last touches on the float. Brother Hutch put the float on a base so the kids could carry it and put poles on the banner so they could hold on to it as well. They are an awesome new family for the ward.

Out in the sun!

Today, the kids, Kayla, and I went to Corona Del Mar with a friend and her kids. I met her friend too who came also. I thought it was going to be a fun thing to do with the kids and I wanted the kids to have at least one trip to the beach this summer. It was a fun morning. It was also an adventure getting there, but we made it.
Poor Chase. He doesn't have a chance avoiding car sickness. Greg and I both get it. On our way there, he got car sick and lost it. My sweet niece Kayla took care of him and cleaned him all up. It was Savannah's first time at the beach. She didn't know what to do so she put sand in her face. We set up and by the time I got the sun screen out of the bag, Chase and Savannah already had sand all over themselves. It was very messy putting the sunscreen on them. The whole time we were there Savannah had sand all over herself. It was funny but sad because it was in her eyes, nose, and mouth. She was scared of the water, but Chase loved it. He had a good time playing with Kayla.

Your favorite memory

One of my recent memories is when Greg and I went to Cabo San Lucas to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary (Oct. 18th). We had a lot of fun and I will never forget all the time we spent together, just the two of us. I felt like we were newlyweds all over again. My favorite part of Cabo was snorkling. It was also memorable because it was my first time ever on a airplane.

1. Leave one memory that you and I had together, as a comment on my blog. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot or if we are old friend or new friends, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Cousins together

What a busy week we have had, starting with Lizeth giving birth to Leliani.! And yesterday it ended. I think. Now I only have two kids to keep me busy. It was fun watching Kristin's boys and I learned what it would be like to have 6 kids. Luckily, Kristin has some wonderful boys. They were very well behaved. But it is still kind of stressful worrying about all of those kids all at once. Kristin, you have my respect.
Today, I felt stress free but missed the boys. I got really attached to Trey. I missed watching him eat and eat and eat. I am glad Kristin and Monty had a good time in Cancun. We all had a good time here. We had a lot of fun things going on all at once. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the boy's visit. I think I told everyone but Savannah and Trey played really cute together. I really enjoyed watching those two together. And thanks to Marci for coming over on Thursday to play games with the kids...all 8 of them!!! They enjoyed that a lot.

4th of July

Happy 4th of July everyone. We had a good time today. Mammy got a slip-n-slide and two pools for all the kids. They enjoyed it. Savannah was funny. She loved being in the water and playing with her cousins. Greg played with the boy's with the slip-n-slide and getting the boy's wet. We finished the night watching fireworks in Yuicipa. It was fun and funny hearing the boys talk about the fireworks. It was cute when Trey and Savannah were pointing at the fireworks. Last year, Chase was very afraid of the fireworks. I was glad he wasn't afraid of them this year. When the fireworks first started, he was a little scared but he felt safe on Greg's lap.We missed Michelle and Dustin. We just couldn't find them. I wished we could have done it together. Oh well, there's always next year.
Yeah, I took that one.
