Week Two!!

Chase's second week of school went well. He really enjoys kindergarten!! We went to an open house on Thursday, and it was fun for Chase to show Greg and I around his classroom. His teacher said he is doing well in class and she told us he does good with the letter sounds. Savvy does miss Chase when he's at school but I have been keeping her busy. She gets so tired that she has actually been taking naps!! Savvy's first time seeing this ride at a shopping center. She was so excited about it! She even told me to take a picture. That's a first:)Carl is growing so fast he will be 2 months old all ready. He likes to eat and sleep and if he's awake, he smiles and makes cute baby sounds:)

Chase's 1st day of school

August began for us with Chase’s first day of school. First they tested him, and then we went to a parent orientation to meet the school administration and to meet Chase’s teacher. Chase's school is Mauka Lani Elementary. The school Mascot is the Mountain Lion, school colors are red and yellow. His teacher is Mrs. Iwane.

This pictures was taken just before our camera died. We were leaving to the orientation. Chase look just a little excited:)Chase's first day in class was only a half day. He did really well but he's a little shy. I was running so late I didn't get to take any pictures. Bummer, I know!! I took him to school with Carl and Savvy! It was a mission because the school is on a hill. It's a hike to get to his class:) Greg was at Tripler having his Lasik surgery. It went well and Greg has recovered really well from it. He did have an uncomfortable weekend though but he survived:)

His first full day was great!! These are from that day:)

Before going to class:When I picked him up:On his second day, he did let us know that he got a yellow warning during nap time. He got into a little trouble. He told us that two boys were rubbing his head, probably because his hair is cut really short. He sat up and told them, "DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!" The story really made us laugh.

He told Greg and I that he knows the rules now and he will stay down for nap time:) But he understands that he doesn't have to let any kids touch his hair.

He's been talking to us a whole lot recently and saying lots of funny stuff about his days in school. A whole week has gone by.

Every night Greg asks him how is day at school went. On Wednesday, Chase beat Greg. Chase asked Greg how work was. Greg looked surprised and said good. Then Chase asked what Greg did. And Greg told him that he helped some people. And then Chase said, "Oh, I didn't know that you help people. Why do they need help?" We were both amazed. Chase has never shown any interest in anything but his cousins, friends, and video games. We think school is now helping him understand that there is actually more out there, and that he's not at the center....

Let’s see how next week goes for him???

Savvy's first haircut..

Savvy's hair is starting to get really long and tangly and when I comb it, it's not fun at all for her or me because it hurts her. I decided to get it cut. We didn't take too much off. But just with a little trim she looks so much older. I needed to write this post because it's her first haircut ever.

Before:After:This picture is from my cell phone. Our camera just broke:( I really need to get a new one soon. Our next post will be on Chase's first day of kindergarten.

Fun week with Susy

It was AWESOME that my sister Susy came out to visit us for a whole week. It was nice to see my nephew Jacob and niece Alyssa too. They have grown so much since I last saw them, over six months ago. It was a surprise to see how different my sister looks after losing tons of weight. She looks GREAT! They flew in on Sunday and the next day we went to Ko'olina. I love how Alyssa did the shaka for this picture:)Tuesday, we headed to the PCC. Before we went in, we had lunch at McDonald'sA group shot at the Temple. To my surprise, it was possible to do it with all 5 kids. I thought it was funny when people would tell Susy and me, "You have your hands full."
We did lots of shopping at the swapmeet, target, and cosco. It was great to have her company at the stores because I wouldn't have gone alone. She helped me get all of Chase's school supplies.

For their last day with us we went to Bellows Beach. The weather wasn't so great and Alyssa got stung by a Portuguese Man-of-War. It hurt bad. We felt so bad for her. She was brave. Even after that, we stayed and did have a good time having lunch. Alyssa felt better and played in the sand. I love this picture of Jacob!! This is the evil little jellyfish on the end of a stick:/Later that day we had dinner downtown in Waikiki at the Cheesecake factory.Sweet picture of Alyssa
I miss them so much and our whole family in CA.

July Fun...

Greg, Chase riding the kayak with some friends, Mark and Cameron. They had a blast and their adventurous dads took them to ride some really big waves. Savvy did do it too (not the waves though.) She paddled like a champ.
Here's our baby Carl with his daddy. I just love it. I heard Carl crying and I walked in our room and saw him not crying but happy, content playing with his dad. I had to get a picture of him holding his head right up and thought oh how cute he looks with Greg.

For FHE Chase drew Carl a cute picture of him taking care of Carl. Chase is being a good older brother:) This weekend Chase tells me, "Mom, can you have another baby boy so we can be the 3 ninjas." I just have to laugh about it. He's not going to let me have a brake from being pregnant. Sorry Chase, he wont have his third ninja any time soon.

Hard to say goodbye:(

My parents are back to CA:( It was such a blessing having them with us. They were so much help!! I loved eating Mexican food and their company. I try to cook Mexican food and it's not the same. It was nice they got to be here for 3 weeks. I miss them all over again. Many tears but I know I will see them again soon. Thank you mom and dad for taking good care of us!! Can't thank you enough. We love you:)Savvy does have a black eye. The day after her b-day Chase and her ran into each other and Chase got her right on her eyebrow and she got a BIG knot. It was really ugly.Poor little Savvy her eye was shut for 3 days:(

Carl

Greg and I are proud parents of another baby. Our little family is now of 5 (not so little I guess). I can't believe it. Now that Carl is with us, Greg and I are trying to get used to having three kids ....unbelievable. We have been blessed!! Carl is a good baby. He nurses well and sleeps. I have to be quick when it's diaper changing time or else I get a BIG surprise:) It has happened five times already!
Here's a picture of our little bundle of JOY!!! I am so in love with this little turtle and the kids just LOVE him too. Oh daddy loves him too:)
