After our zoo trip we walked on down to Waikiki beach a block away for lunch then went in the water for a much needed cool down:) The water felt so good. It was a really warm day especially when you've been walking all morning and afternoon. Waikiki was Kayla's favorite beach.
In the reptile room it was HOT:)
Kayla was a really good helper. She would do things for me without me even having to ask! She is a great niece! She would change diapers, change clothes, carry Carl, cook, clean, and much more.
Carl and Savvy's first zoo trip. Much more to come:)
first stop to the elephants
Look at these huge turtles.
They were our favorite animals to look at. We looked at them for a good 25min. There were lots of them & moving.... slow:) Carl looking at the hippos.
He enjoyed looking at the animals. If he couldn't see the animals he would scream at us to get him out of his stroller so he could see what we were looking at.
Kayla being a great cousin!
Walking down to find giraffes.
Got a little scared when we looked up and found this guy over our heads:)

Savvy giving Chase his candy lei.
He's proud of himself and glad he's done with kindergarten. Please don't tell him how much harder 1st grade is going to be:)
Chase with his best buddy.
Chase with his class mates and teacher.
He was excited to have a candy lei. I put his favorite gum, blow pops, and gummy bears.
I think Chase's graduation was a big deal..he learned so much in 10 months of school. He learned how to be on his own, and he learned the alphabet and sounds. Next thing I know he's reading and spelling. By the end of the school year he was adding and subtracting, and every Friday there was a spelling test . Who does that in kindergarten? Or is it just in Hawaii? He also learned some of the Hawaiian language. I don't remember ever doing that in kindergarten. All I remember of kindergarten is my teacher reading books and recess.
Greg made me a coconut smoothie for lunch and beef burritos for dinner. I'm a happy mommy and wife:)
