Easter 2011

For Easter weekend I didn't take very many pictures, but I did get a few. On Friday, Savvy, Carl, Chase, and I spent the morning with my friend Terra and her children at the beach. We had a picnic and a Easter egg hunt. Saturday, there was a church woman's Spring Conference. A gathering with all the sisters. It was amazing! I love Relief Society:)

On Easter Sunday after church we had my really good friend Letty and her family come over for dinner. I love holiday food. Not so happy about gaining some weight from it:/ We had a feast! and were with great company!

Sunday morning the kids looking for their Easter eggs that the Easter bunny hid for them:)Carl looking at his brother and sister finding eggs:)Savvy looked so cute with her bunny tail:)

Birthday and Cheesecake

Greg wanted to keep his birthday a secret this year. So no mentioning how old he turned:) Greg and I have been all around the island but there is one section we weren't very familiar with. We decided to get to know it. The drive is lovely and the ocean view is relaxing:) After driving for 35 minutes Chase and Savvy needed to get out of the car. They don't do well on long drives:/ Stopping was okay for us because for the first time we found a hamburger joint, and the food was good. That Savvy has to eat or drink all the time! She's a big snacker too, and she always has to go to the bathroom. This is the hamburger place. Greg with Savvy at our first site-seeing location. The blow hole was super cool. A hit for Savvy and Chase:) It shot up 50 feet high. I hadn't made cheesecake for over 2 years. I wanted to make a spcial cake for Greg- So What's more special than cheesecake right?Greg though he'd be funny and eat his with chopsticks! Happy Birthday Dad! We are so grateful for you and all you do for us (your family:)

Our 9-month old!

Carl is 9 months old! I'm a little sad in a few months he will turn one:(Here's a list of Carl's milestones--thing's I can think of at the moment:

  1. He's a really good crawler. We get a good laugh watching him crawl super fast:)

  2. Hair is growing longer and getting fuller. The curls keep curling.

  3. Smiles and laughs a lot. His smile is so cute because the four front teeth pop right out at you.

  4. A good eater. He eats everything we eat. Hasn't had any problems with the food.

  5. Stands a lot. I won't be surprised if in our next post he is walking.

  6. Gets into the toilet bowl. The water attracts him:)

  7. Loves bath time.

  8. Wires and cables get his attention too.

  9. Starting to wave bye bye.

  10. Can yell really loud. When he wants something it means right now.

  11. He can't stay still to get dressed or have his diaper changed. Good thing he only has ONE messy diaper a day.

  12. If he's in his highchair he better be eating or doesn't want to be in it.

  13. Wears size "12-months" clothes.

  14. Keeps his shoes on--which is more than we can say about his older sister.

Disneyland part 2

Another Disneyland post:

This time around there were big crowds and long lines. It was okay though because we got to do everything we didn't get to do the first two days. Savvy wasn't feeling well but she was a trooper and was carried by her daddy the whole entire day:)

Chase got to do Jedi Training and even fought Darth-Mal. Carl, Savvy, and Chase really enjoyed "It's a Small World." When we first arrived at the park, Grandpa Jose got the kids ice cream cones. Oh and he got Greg and I a delicious ice cream sunday:) It was a fun treat:) Here was Savvy after throwing up on Greg. Mammy was nice enough to run and get Greg a new shirt to change into. Yeah Savvy lost it on Greg:( And the shirt that Mammy bought for Greg was very appropriate!

California Adventures

Second day hopper was to California Adventures. The Toy Story ride was a hit. The kids and parents LOVED this ride. We went on it three times.

It wasn't too crowded, and the lines weren't that long so that was a plus:) The ferris wheel wasn't a favorite though. It's too high for our liking. Here are my favorite pictures of the day. Carl liked looking at Mr. Potato-Head:)This picture was taken before the 3D bugs life show. During the show Chase and Savvy cried hysterically and screamed when the spiders and huge grasshopper popped at you. They're not big fans of bugs after getting eaten alive here in Hawaii by mosquito's. Nikki went on the spinning rides with all the kiddos. She is a very good and brave aunt!
